I had to use up some fresh strawberries this morning so I opted to make a delicious “strawberries and cream” smoothie. As I through a bunch of ingredients into the blender, I have to say that I was a little sceptical however the result was delicious! I popped this recipe straight onto the ‘An Apple a Day’ Instagram and within an hour, one of my followers commented: “This is probably one of the most delicious smoothies I have ever had!”. You have to try it and tell me what you think xx

Description
A quick and simple smoothie that is not only rich in delicious strawberries, but also combines good fats to prevent a blood sugar spike and keep you fuller for longer 🙂
Ingredients
- 1 cup strawberries, hulled
- 1/2 avocado, skin & seed removed
- 2 tbsp. cashews
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1/2 cup coconut water
- 1 cup watermelon
- 1 scoop plant based protein powder (vanilla preferred)
Instructions
- Blend until well combined!
Notes
If using a protein powder I recommend using an organic plant based protein powder that is a mix of both fermented pea and brown rice.
